When Ms. Moebes left Disney to start a law practice, a funny thing happened on the way.
“A bell went off. I had learned marketing and advertising law from scratch because it was a new area of the law and there were no practical resources to help me on a day-to-day basis. The only books that existed were large tomes designed only for lawyers. The few classes that existed were, again, only for lawyers and on scattered topics. This would be largely still the case today, except for the Legal Savvy® Series. I had been “teaching” my clients for 5 years and knew that, with my guidance, they could do a lot on their own if they had the basic understanding of the law and some tools. Also, marketing and advertising law was blossoming into a full-fledge specialty area for legal professionals, but, even legal professionals who were not developing it as a practice area were struggling to keep up with marketing, advertising and related laws in order to assist their business clients who were promoting their products and services, increasingly online.
Thus, the Legal Savvy® Series of books and workshops was born to fill the void with the philosophy of providing ‘Only the Law you Need.’ And this is what they offer. The books are not long, impractical discourses on insignificant nuances of the law. They are concise manuals intended to get dog-eared from overuse. Similarly, the workshops are not long filibusters, but entertaining boot camps, with examples and case studies from real life, to help students put the legal principles into practice immediately.”
